Michael S. Perkins was awarded Morley Volunteer Fire Departments Fireman of the year award on Saturday August 16, 2008. This is only his second year offical year in the Morley Fire Department but it didnt take him long to prove him self. Michael attends most every call whether it is at 3 o'clock in the after noon or 3 o'clock in the morning. He completed EVOC, scene support last year has completed several courses this year including pump school, water supply and in the fall he will be finshing up his essentials. Michael is a terrific firefighter and loves what he does, the award couldn't have gone to a better member as Michael is so committed to the Morley Volunteer Fire Department.
